OA Election Help Needed

On February 16th, we have been asked to run Troop 26’s OA elections. I will be attending this and will need one other scout in the OA to  help me. More than that can attend and observe, plus my dad will be able to drive anyone who needs a ride. The meeting is located at the Lions club in Big Bend on HW L and we will be there from 7 pm to around 8pm. Please respond to me if you wish to help out.

Onatah Chapter Information

Next Saturday, February 6th, the monthly OA chapter meeting is being held at the Waukesha Scout Office. Please attend if available. Turn out of youth has been very minimal in the past months and I would love to see some of you attend. If you need a ride my dad is able to drive.

Also, I am working on setting up an OA fundraiser for the Onatah Chapter at Culvers in March. We will need youth and leaders to help. Please stay tuned for more information.

C-7 Conclave

In case you haven't seen this.

I went to Conclave last year and it was a great time. They had many great activities and courses set up throughout the weekend making it a lot of fun.

I hope many of you sign up and have a blast making this the best Conclave yet.

See link at the bottom to sign up to help.

OA Conclave

What is Conclave?

Conclave is a gathering of Arrowmen from all Eleven lodges that make up Section C-7 ranging from Southern Wisconsin, Chicagoland, and even into Indiana! Conclave is often described as being a smaller version of a Jamboree or NOAC with over 400 arrowmen in attendance each year.

In the past our conclaves have featured:

·       AIA Dance Pow-wow

·       Archery

·       Car Smash

·       Lodge Competitions

·       Ceremonies Competition

·       Fire Department Demonstration

·       Woodcarving

·       OA Museum

·       Giant Inflatables

·       Exceptional Training Cells

·       Video Game Tournament

·       and Much more!

Our conclave committee is working hard to provide a world class conclave experience that you will not want to miss!

When and Where?

The 2015 conclave will be held April 17-19, 2015 at the Sandwich Fairgrounds with Pachsegink serving as host lodge.

Early bird      $45     Before March 25th, 2015
Regular $50     After March 25th, 2015
How Can I Attend?

You must register at register.oac7.org. Talk to your Lodge Leadership about payment and transportation details

If you are working on earning your 100th Anniversary Arrowman Service Award, this can help you get there.

The early bird deadline to register for Section Conclave is less than a week away. If you aren’t already registered you need to register NOW! Otherwise you are going to be missing out on all of the fun that conclave and the Centennial Celebration has to offer this year. This conclave is going to be exactly like NOAC this summer, except conclave is going to cost a tenth of the price of NOAC. Doesn’t that sound like a GREAT deal!! You get all of the fun and excitement that NOAC has to offer for a much cheaper price! And if you are afraid of going with a bunch of people that you don’t know, then tell your friends about it and sign up with them. If you don’t go to THIS EVENT, you are missing out on the opportunity of a lifetime. There will be no service involved at all, just one super fun weekend! There’s going to be a Centennial Race (very similar to the Amazing Race), a lodge ball (dodge ball tournament), huge inflatables, and much more!!

Be there!

Arrowmen Service Award

posted Jan 30, 2015, 5:54 AM by Scout Masters

Members of the Order of the Arrow can celebrate the organization's 100th anniversary by working to complete the Arrowman Service Award. This award, which some are referring to as "the sash patch," will be recognized as one of the few patches that have ever been approved by the national committee to be worn on one's Order of the Arrow sash.

The purposes of the ASA are to encourage Arrowmen to recommit themselves to the ideals of the Order, strengthen their commitments to their local councils, and take part in the 100th anniversary events. The award will have 3 categories of criteria with various requirements that Arrowmen can complete. These include components on personal growth, service to Scouting, and participation in the centennial celebration.

Use these links below to get the requirements for earning this award:
